SLIG 2017: A Photo Recap; Day 3

Wednesday, 25 January 2017

Today marks the third day of the institute and marks the half way point (already?). Today we got deeper into Virginia with probate, land, and tax records. I must admit, this is harder than I thought it was going to be. That's a good thing, right? At least there is plenty, and I mean plenty of reading material in the syllabus to keep me busy for quite some time.

The day was capped off with SLIG Night at the FHL. A tradition that I think will continue with all the success it has had. This event included several classes held in very nice plush classrooms, some with computers for every desk, and expert teachers. You had the choice of attending one of these classes or roam free at will. I went around and took pictures and then had a gander in the book section through some Georgia books. Another long and satisfying day!

My class schedule for Wednesday:

1. Probate: The Law - Little
2. Probate: The Process and the Records It Created - Little
3. Deeds, Surveys, and Other Land Records - Dunn
4. Solving Problems with Tax Records - Dunn

And now for the pictures...
